Virtual reality in education: simulators and virtual labs for universities

We bring virtual reality to universities, vocational schools and training academies: virtual labs and simulators that put expensive or scarce equipment within reach of every student, so they can practise as often as they need. Everything runs on standalone headsets, with no computers or installation.

Solutions

Virtual labsVirtual reality labs: students put on a headset and practise with the full equipment, such as a bioreactor, without using up materials or booking the real lab. It is not a web simulator or a video: it is immersive, hands-on practice for universities and training centres.

Applications of virtual reality in education

Educational VR for every institution

  • Universities

Lab practice and simulation for science, engineering and health degrees.

Bioreactor simulator · Virtual labs · 3D anatomy

  • Vocational schools

Workshop and procedure practice before using real equipment.

Maintenance · Electrical work · Automotive

  • Academies and technical schools

Simulators that set your courses apart and cut the cost of practice.

Aviation · Health and safety · Technical training

What virtual reality is for in education

  • One machine for a whole class

With a virtual lab, every student practises with their own equipment, at their own pace.

  • Practice is expensive in materials and time

Students can repeat a practical without using reagents or booking the real lab.

  • Abstract concepts are hard to grasp

Seeing and handling in 3D what happens inside a machine or the human body makes it easier to understand and remember.

Case studies

First you see it. Then we build it.

  1. 01

    On-site demo

We bring the headsets so you can try it first-hand.

  2. 02

    Pilot or prototype

We validate the idea with real users before scaling.

  3. 03

    Development

We build the experience to fit, with PC-grade visuals.

  4. 04

    Rollout and maintenance

We set up the headsets, train your team and keep it running.

FAQ: virtual reality in education

What is virtual reality used for in education?

To practise with equipment and situations that do not fit in a classroom: a full lab, an industrial machine or a risky procedure. Students learn by doing, make mistakes without consequences and repeat until they master it.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of virtual reality in education?

Advantages: unlimited practice with no material cost, one machine per student, safety and better retention. Disadvantages: the upfront investment in content, sessions should be short (15 to 30 minutes) and it does not fully replace real practice, it prepares for it and makes it more efficient.

What is the difference between virtual and augmented reality in the classroom?

Virtual reality immerses the student in a complete environment with a headset, ideal for practicals. Augmented reality overlays 3D models on the real classroom on a tablet or phone, ideal for explaining and for large groups.

Do we need computers or a special classroom?

No. Our simulators run on standalone Meta Quest headsets, at around €350 each, with no computer and no cables.

Can we use a ready-made simulator?

Yes. We license existing simulators, such as our bioreactor simulator, and build others around your curriculum.

How do we get started?

With an on-site demo and, if it fits, a pilot with a group of students to measure results.
