VR surgical simulator for residents and surgeons
A virtual reality surgical simulator (a 3D surgery simulator) to rehearse procedures with soft tissue that deforms and reacts realistically. Developed with Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, it runs on standalone headsets, so every resident can practise wherever and whenever they want, without booking an operating room or a simulation centre.
What it includes
- 01Procedure atlas by specialty
- 02Soft tissue with realistic behaviour
- 03Free interaction with instruments and anatomy
- 04Option to use 3D models of the actual patient
Surgical simulators for residents, supervisors and simulation centres
Residency tutors and heads of department
So residents reach the operating room with the procedure already rehearsed.
Resident training · General surgery · Surgical specialties
Clinical simulation centres
One more simulator, portable and with no consumables, that does not take up a room.
Surgical simulation · Workshops · Courses
Surgeons preparing a case
Review anatomy and approach with the patient's 3D model before operating.
Complex cases · Planning · Clinical sessions
What it solves
Few chances to practise for real
Residents repeat the procedure as many times as they need, without waiting for a scheduled case.
Physical simulators wear out and need restocking
In virtual reality there are no materials to replace: every session starts fresh.
High-end simulators are expensive and fixed
It runs on headsets at around €350 that go to the ward, the classroom or the resident's home.
Every patient differs from the textbook
You can load 3D models of the actual patient to prepare specific cases.

FAQ: surgical simulators
What is a virtual reality surgical simulator?
A virtual environment where surgeons or residents practise a procedure with simulated instruments and anatomy. Unlike a physical simulator, it uses no consumables and can be repeated without limits.
Which specialties and procedures does it include?
The simulator includes a procedure atlas by specialty, and new procedures can be developed. In the demo we show you what is available and assess what your department needs.
How does it differ from traditional clinical simulation?
Simulation with manikins or physical simulators is still useful, but it needs a room, materials and technicians. Virtual reality adds individual, repeatable and portable practice that complements the simulation centre.
Can it use 3D models of a specific patient?
Yes. The simulator can work with 3D models of the actual patient to prepare specific cases.
How much does it cost?
It depends on whether you license the simulator as it is or need new procedures. The best start is a demo and a focused pilot; our pricing page explains the models.
